Developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates, this physical fitness system improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong powerhouse (center of the body’s musculature), and improving coordination and balance. Intensity is increased over time as the body gently adapts to the exercises, making it perfect for all levels, experience and capability.

Your first class is free and private lessons are available. Click on the link to your right for a printable class schedule.

Summer Camp 2014

What is Summer KarateROX Camp for Kids all about?
It’s an interactive martial arts edutainment experience unlike any other! Each week follows a particular theme, with related activities, crafts, team and character building exercises. We might be exploring the world of the ancient Samurai one week and making Star Wars lightsabers the next. We learn about different cultures, technologies, food, history, science, art and crafts. Campers learn more about themselves and the world around them as they participate in these outrageously fun learning journeys!

Sounds great! When does the camp run?
Camp is 9:00AM till NOON on these dates:
  • Monday, August 4
  • Wednesday, August 6
  • Friday, August 8
  • Monday, August 11
  • Wednesday, August 13
  • Friday, August 15
  • Monday, August 18
  • Wednesday, August 20
  • Friday, August 22
Marvelous! How much does camp cost?
The cost per child is only $40 per day. There is a discount for coming all three days in a given week.

Awesome! What is the schedule?
We begin promptly at 9:00am and go till noon. Campers are to arrive no earlier than 8:50am. Departure is at noon, barring any emergencies. There are no “late pickup” arrangements. We do not add “filler” to our camp, such as going to a swimming pool or fieldtrips. This is not daycare – this is an amazing educational adventure!

Wow! Can my child come just one day or all month?
Unlike a lot of summer camps, our schedule is extremely flexible. Depending on your schedule and needs, your child can come one or two days, one or more weeks, or all August! Often, kids come try a day of our camp, get hooked on it and want to come more. No problem! Please contact us and unless we’re booked, we’ll make room. Please let us know as soon as possible so that we can have enough supplies.

Cool! Does my child need martial arts experience to enjoy camp?
Absolutely not! While many of our ongoing Karate students come to our summer camp, we also have kids that have never studied martial arts. In fact, as word has spread over the years of our camp, we get kids coming that aren’t even interested in martial arts! Yep, it’s that much fun!

Our regular Karate classes keep going throughout the summer, too – ask us about them if you or your child is interested in checking out a class for free.

Super! What are the appropriate ages?
Boys and girls from 5 years old and up to early teens are perfect for our camp. Usually, there is a 50/50 balance between boy and girl campers and all activities are appropriate and enjoyable for both.

How do I sign my child up and how do I contact you if I have any further questions?
Just give us a ring at the number below. We already have campers signed up and have shut down enrollment in past years, so sign up today!
